Welcome, new subscribers! There are a lot of you after the good Dr Paul Elias Alexander profiled my Rules for Revolution #3.
My mom spends about 100 hours every year decorating the house for Christmas. Maybe more, not including the time putting it away ‘till next year, nor the time putting up and taking down decorations for Valentines, Easter, St Patrick's, Independence Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving. I am documenting the year in pictures and am planning to fill a few craft books for my sister and her kids, so they don't forget.
You might notice some changes to this substack. I’ve added some links at the header, organizing older posts. Feel free to peruse garden pictures if you are feeling down this winter.
I’ve also enabled paid subscriptions. In case you are feeling generous this Christmas. Four people pledged money without me even asking, which at $336 dollars that is $36 more than I have ever made writing. I’ve always wanted to be a paid writer, as long as I can remember. I have some ideas about how to proceed with subscriber perks, but currently I do not have any posts planned I would hide behind a paywall, though I imagine that will come with time. Maybe some videos, if I can figure out how to set it up so only paid subs can view it. A tarot reading if you are interested. An email for paid subs only. A phone conversation if you are a founding member? Feel free to offer suggestions.
I’ve been writing here for the past year and a half. I hope I have earned your trust and faith at the very least. 2024 is going to be a very wild ride. I hope to be a solid presence for you, through that. Thank you for reading, and especially if you decide to support me and my writing financially.
Merry Christmas - I hope you and yours have a joyous good time!
In lieu of paid subscriptions, feel free any time to buy me a “coffee”
WOW! That is some extensive decorating! Congratulations! You are a good writer. There are talented writers on Sub stack that write well enough to be paid and then you have jerks like Robert Reichhh with thousands of subscribers AND getting paid! Go figure!
Merry Christmas to you and health and prosperity in the New Year!
Also Merry Christmas, to you, Hunter.
Looks like your $336 wouldn't make a dent in the amount your mother has spent on her decorations.
The "snow" scene in the kitchen (?) bay window looks really nice and detailed.
