Good advice! Books, that's the other thing to get. Books on farming, anything you're not well versed in.

That's one thing I'm doing.

John Michael Greer said many years ago, look for books from the 70's on alternative tech. Very useful stuff.

Absolutely! We have 12 chickens and two ducks on our little homestead at present. We found a book from 1942 with all manner of detailed information about raising and caring for many varieties of fowl. It’s priceless!

That is awesome. I have been collecting such books for some time, enough to fill a couple of shelves in the library, everything from chickens to gardening to passive solar and then some.

Yes! We’ve been frequenting every antique or used book shops we come across to search for books about a number of farming and animal husbandry topics as well as some of the finer fiction.

How-to books are nice. Along with great biographies, fiction and poetry to inspire.

Thank you! Yes, and if you look at the share price of our weapons contractors, all those talking heads on TV are making big money.

This is excellent William! I needed this to start my day ♥

I never heard Blind Melon before. Loved that he said "hi mom," at the end.

Glad to hear it. Shannon Hoon of Blind Melon was a gem, lost to us too soon, but I still listen to that song regularly.

Something you wrote above reminded me of something I was thinking last night:

What Hamas did was evil, but a lot of what Israel does to the Palestinians is also evil.

I feel like I can say that here and have it be understood. I feel like in the wider culture, it would not be understood, because in the wider culture, Hamas=evil means that Israel=good, and vice-versa, but that is just bullshit.

It makes sad that apparently someone like Rashida Tlaib can't clearly say that what Hamas did is evil. I wish that she would, because it is. But unfortunately in our current climate, that would "be the same" as saying that is Israel is great and good and whatever...this is all very sad.

It is sad to see so many people condemning atrocity by way of excusing or denying it elsewhere. Ms Talib and Progressives generally excel at that, for Marxists it is ideological. But then plenty of imperial Republicans do the same.

Excellent post! We are on board the Titanic with killer clowns at the helm, steering the ship directly at the icerberg. Not much we can do about that now. Get your lifeboats ready and make the most of your time with the ones you love and getting yourself prepared physically and spiritually. Real good is still really possible, even in the midst of all the madness happening around us.

I'd like to quibble with your discussion of "intelligence failure/success". The CIA has a dual mission: gathering intelligence (obscure information about the world), and covert action (application of force without national attribution). Oddly enough, only the "intelligence" term appears in their name. I'm not just making this up! The Merriam-Webster dictionary definition of CIA mentions "special activities approved by the President". Being caught by surprise is an intelligence failure. Steering a crisis to achieve secret ends is "covert action". So, what you refer as "intelligence successes" are better described as "covert action successes." Intelligence has little to do with it (sad to say).

I hear you, but am only using "Intelligence" as a general name for the CIA, FBI, NSA, Defense etc 17+ agencies using covert action to manipulate everything globally including Americans.

Excellent musings, Hunter. It's yet another complex situation that seems to exhibit reverberations of so many past events.

As for myself, I think there are a bunch of hidden hands playing a wacky game of Checkers-meets-Operation-meets-Rock'em-Sock'em-Robots. They continue using the same retarded playbook but continually up the exotic technology poisoning and mind control to make it seem like they're winning.

I no longer choose from their death-cult false dichotomies, which are pathetically stupid and a great example of thuggery. I'm working for freedom and holy ground (and that's a line in a song I wrote titled "Summer Song / Wars and Changes").

Still, you are going deep in your analyses and trusting your instincts, which is so life-affirming!

"The problem isn’t that Intelligence fails, it is that Intelligence at the scale of the Nation State, in the decline of civilization, is inherently pathological."

I would say that "intelligence" *cannot* be aligned with failure or pathology, so there is no "failed intelligence" or "pathological intelligence." Just as with the idiotic term "artificial intelligence," those notions are oxymoronic because intelligence is of the Divine. Those in positions of so-called "power" and their mockingbird media lapdogs *are themselves* pathological, and thus incapable of intelligence. Well, some say that *everyone* has a chance to turn around and get right with God, but I'm not so sure about the psychopathic tyrants because I don't know if they are truly human/mankind (I have mentioned this to you before).

On another note, I love all your ten points — especially the one about singing — and I am doing my best to adhere to them!💖
