Did you feel the shiver run through the elite after the Oster affair?
[Covidians begging for amnesty]
About Dr Emily Oster of Brown University writing in The Atlantic about Amnesty for her fellow meritocrats, I will refer back in the main to my piece on a Great Reckoning 2023:
I mentioned in a few comments on other posts about Ms Oster, it is conspicuous this piece of hers appearing so soon after the CDC gave the states the right to mandate yearly covid jabs for kids, while eliminating liability for all jab injuries for all people forever. That doesn’t seem a bridge too far for Oster, receiving no mention in her piece. Good god, she used her four-year old as an example of covidian over-reach, which apparently is what we need amnesty for, this child-like innocent but ill informed over enthusiasm that is making social relations so terribly uncomfortable.
Implicit in the piece is that all dissenters jabbed and not are all still dirty backward misanthropes, and we elite need to forgive ourselves and each other so we can go on ruling the deplorables in peace.
I figured things might get a bit messy after the CDC sold the souls of America’s children to the god phi-derna, for a comparative handful of gold pieces. It really is an unspeakable evil that has overcome health care in America, sacrificing children, willingly maiming and killing people in the name of The Science. Could you forgive your health care professionals going out of their way to kill your significant other with ventilators and Remdesivir?
Speaking of unspeakable evil, this sort of scenario played out in communities all across America, doctors and nurses blindly following the dictates of Fauci, Birx, the FDA, CDC, killing people who did not have to die. There can be no amnesty for that, no forgiveness, without accountability. There has to be a reckoning or America will never recover.
The Oster piece was a weather balloon. Our elite are so very insulated, their suppression of dissent so thorough, I don’t think they really know what the weather is like out here in useless eaterville. Admittedly a few liberals are still basking in the self righteousness of the summer of 2021, repeating the proper talking points like parrots genetically modified with teeth like piranha. The greater masses? This weather balloon exploded and fragmented into a few million pieces, the pressure of this cold front is so very intense. I like to think our elite suddenly realized with acute clarity how few in number they actually are, which awareness must be like a shiver rattling deep in the bones. I rather appreciated the cold fury of Mother aka Ms Emily Burns:
I have the feeling Oster’s trial balloon unleashed the proverbial winter, and there is no censoring the north wind. It is 70+ today in central Minnesota, about 20 degrees above the average, but it will be a high of about 45 tomorrow, and a lot colder ongoing. I expect that is a metaphor for where our elite are at on covid. You don’t get to move right into spring, no matter how much you want to.

I think the salient characteristic of Oster and her tribe is a profound lack of individuation. It makes evil come easily for them. They're steeped in compliance, compliance fetishism, conformism, groupthink, status anxiety and constant, low grade moral panic. From the outside, it looks like they live in Hell. And now many of them have embarked on their own, personal living hells, as the harms from the pseudo-vaxxes increase.
