I think the salient characteristic of Oster and her tribe is a profound lack of individuation. It makes evil come easily for them. They're steeped in compliance, compliance fetishism, conformism, groupthink, status anxiety and constant, low grade moral panic. From the outside, it looks like they live in Hell. And now many of them have embarked on their own, personal living hells, as the harms from the pseudo-vaxxes increase.

It really is horrifying to me, the idea of being a true believer in all things official covid policy.

Well said. It makes them hopeless. It's going to badly harm a large number of them, and permanently damage their kids.

It has been one of the great ironies in this, the professional managerial class most necessary to the day to day operations of the "empire" are the most likely to be the most boosted, and consequently in the long term the most harmed.

It has been an unusually warm October where I live. It will be warm as you conduct your midterms. The Ides of March?

Each month has its ides, so...

The ides of November, celebrated on November 13, were a Roman festival in honor of the Jupiter (Epulum Jovis). During the festival, a triad of gods was celebrated (Juno, Minerva and Jupiter), who accompanied mortals, as the statues, during the feast.

If the celebrations took place at home, then statues were often placed on exclusive sofas (pulvinaria) in the most important place at the table. During the dinner, the best dishes and wine were served to win the favor of the gods.

Last week, I attended a meeting at work and several in attendance were wearing masks (several of them double-masked). Today, another meeting. The people who wore masks last week were maskless this week. Just a coincidence this happened after the weather balloon shattered? I think not.

"you either heed the warning and prepare or find yourself in a bad situation later because you didn't believe or didn't care, suit yourself."

So I assume you are implying 5G is going to bring the jabbed and covid dead back to life and or make them super soldiers? I support you going down whatever rabbit holes you like, but I will have to decline, and not recommend for my readers. Though I did appreciate the Whitney Webb link.

I've heard but never confirmed Facebook is invested in the vaccines. It would be interesting to know if they are invested in Gillead, which owns Remdesivir. I didn't even know until I just looked, Remdesivir is approved for kids 28 days old and older, for covid.
