Speaking of death and the devil, some shadow stuff came up within me today, related to challenges at work. I have been feeling rather low for several reasons, so I thought, keep it simple, how about some flowers for a debate sure to be full of shadow?
I planted two different packs of flower seeds in this old planter when I built this garden last year. Neither the landowner L nor I have touched it this year. This is nature’s work, or maybe the spirits of this garden. Ganesh the remover of obstacles watches the gate, as he did last year.
Roses center, yarrow right and left next to some potatoes and carrots.
Self seeded poppy in self seeded radish flowers. Peonies right, a lily and purple wildflowers common in the far background too, an annual self-seeding I can’t remember the name of.
Tomatoes, onions, carrots, potatoes, left to right.
Yarrow is happy here. A fine medicinal.
Some of my mom’s flowers. She has a different aesthetic. She works very hard at it.
I remember when “liberals” and “progressives” were all about nature. I think that “technology” is their true god. Their cities and the utopias they envision are sickly wastelands. I think planting and caring for a garden is a great way to combat their shadow energy.
Veggie gardens are very important but flower gardens are good for my soul, especially the kind you plant yourself. What a beautiful serene garden.
