Such a hopeful time of year! Choosing what to plant and where to plant it. Arranging the plants in the garden space for practicality and pleasure. Call me the vicarious gardener! And bring on the photos!

It's still too cold here in 'sunny Portugal's for my main planting because of 'global warming' (LoL). Usually I've got everything in the ground by the second week in April. This year the tomatoes, peppers and aubergine need to stay indoors until the soil warms up. Spuds, courgettes (zucchini), winter squashes, peas, spinach, etc, etc, are doing ok in the cool soil.

When we came to live here in mid-May 9 years ago it was already 32°C. These last few years have seen the summers growing shorter, cooler and wetter. This year takes the prize for a cold spring though. The global warming ists have things exactly on their head! The climate is cooking, not warming!

Thank you for the context. Quite obviously the climate is changing, but catastrophic Climate Change!!! is mostly code for technocratic deindustrializing, depopulation schemes.

Best of luck with your summer veggies!

It's good to take a break from the craziness once in a while. Enjoy.
