My thought for years is to find a handful of men who can sit around the proverbial or real fire every week and reinforce their manliness for themselves and for each other. But I can’t even get one. It’s normies as far as the eye can see. I won’t stop trying though.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying. As a woman, I've always been attracted to real men, maybe not perfectly groomed but able to fix an engine, build a porch, be generally useful as well as being a strong support in crisis. I'm proud that my son has grown up to be a man and not a Xbox addicted soychild.

I would posit that part of our issues are coming from the fact women are no longer women, and I'm not talking about birthing babies, etc, I'm talking about being able to do work as well. My grandmother could fix a tractor, milk cows, plow a field, etc. I was discussing this with another stacker recently, that women in recent times, as well as many men, have been pushed into collegiate outcomes rather than trades (and other useful knowledge) and so much is being lost because of it.

I think the issue in our society is, as Ellison put it, 'The Glass Teat', which has moved on from mere TV to become an algorithmic hypnosis device that selectively brings out the worst in all of us. Influencers are poison, from them children learn to become useless drones interested only in fads, fashion and other useless things and we allow other countries control of the algorithms that feed our children this poison to distract them from reality.

I wish you luck in finding a men's circle. As a pagan, I've tended to be a little put off by women's circles of late, I'm not a Dianic or anything, but the inclusion of men larping as women has been a hard 'no' for me. I guess it's a good thing I was always a bit solitary.

Good Essay!
