Thanks for the kind words brother. Not being traditionally religious I can't help but nerd out like that. Braveheart, Lord of the Rings, The Mistborn, Stormlight Archive, Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Matrix, I draw moral lessons heavily from this stuff. It might not have the gravity of the Bible in the eyes of Christians, but, you know, Tolkien was definitely inspired heavily by his faith and the stories of the Bible. Those stories, and the hero journeys you have here are... important. The fact that these franchises and characters are being destroyed by these malign forces who believe aesthetic diversity is a substitute for intellectual and ideological diversity is another one of those things that matters, because it makes it that much harder for people to find something that inspires them.
You are welcome. I have seen those above except I have never heard of The Mistborn or Stormlight Archive. I too learned much watching and thinking about those. Our society has much abandoned the notion of initiation to become an adult, instead preferring to exalt a kind of eternal youth. Many young people turn to films to learn how to mature, though it is pale compared to initiation by solid, grounded, mature adults of good character of a tight community. And yes, the very idea of character, the power of myth and the hero's journey is being ground to dust by postmodern critical theory, the woke and corporations.
Yeah, some sort of ritual transition into adulthood is a pretty universal cultural practice, maybe not the best idea to abandon it entirely... Mistborn and Stormlight are Brandon Sanderson novels, really good if you're a nerd like me :)
I should recommend if you haven't read it, the Hour of the Dragon as it is Howard's best work and the only modern mythologie novel to rival that of Tolkien's.
It is a great novel, and has the plot of LOTR except with Conan and came out around 1937 or so. It is about Conan chasing after a gem of power of sorts, to liberate the love of his life (he assumes the role of the chivalrous Arthurianic King in this tale).
The devil's posse is bigger than we ever imagined...... trade unions though....that's disgusting......our union dues are supporting this...... think about that for minute.......

Sounds interesting. I will see about that. Thank you.

I had no idea the series was that old!
Conan stories date back to the 30s, LOTR via Hobbit does, but without it dates only as far back as the 50s officially.

Yes, and our union dues are going to "invest" in agricultural land to pollute and depopulate, and likely for eternal wars and fake vaccines....
Thanks again TSL!
