Ok. At least you picked up on the reality of MN being filled with a lot of self loathing white guilt Scandinavians. Maybe the fact that most of them descended from the Vikings has something to do with that.
But you left out the fact that the DFL, which has dominated MN politics for decades, is basically a front for the Communist Party.
So it’s no surprise that MN gets picked to be the test bed for a lot of villainous activity. They’ve got plenty of built in infrastructure.
And then there’s the 1984 electoral map. And yeah, Mondale was from MN. But when it’s 49-1, and the Dems have the worst nominee in 100 years and he still wins…well, there were signs.
There are plenty, but it is also true, prosecutors in Minnesota, like in the UK, will give a proverbial slap on the wrist to minority thieves, rapists and killers, but should any white boys step in and take matters into their own hands, the State will send them to jail the rest of their days.
The problem isn't hte lack of people, it's that the enforcement mechanisms will hunt you down to the end of the earth if you dare defend yourself. The moment a state becomes contested hostile territory... and that militias can "go home" without being prosecuted for enacting justice, the gloves come off.
I think it's important to dispel notions that Tim Walz is anything but a puppet. He's a mental midget without an ounce of ability to think strategically and deeply about anything. Not the devious ringleader of the destruction of the state. Merely a useful idiot in the hands of those who are. His ego and lust for lucre are all that's needed to have him take any position his puppetmasters direct him to take.
Yes, Minnesota has long had a far-left radical political force operating there. Who can forget the Paul Wellstone funeral? The insane eyes, seething, drooling mouths of radical progressives on full display stole defeat from the jaws of victory for the DFL US Senate candidate that year:
Keith Ellison is no small, two-bit State AG. He's long been a far-left radical, began his student political activism in law school under a different name, Keith Hakim:
After Trump was elected in 2016 he went from MSNBC progressive firebrand congressman to become Vice Chairman of the DNC and began his Profanity Tour with Chairman Tom Perez, an expletive-laden rant tour of the DNC leadership vowing to militant opposition against Pres. Trump on their whistlestop tour across the nation:
Following that he resigned from Congress to return to Minnesota and become State AG. For most politicians that would be considered a demotion to an inferior political office. Unless that position was considered useful to pursue the militant opposition to Trump, and his supporters for that matter, the Make America Great Again bitter-clinger deplorables who elected him. Because opposition and hostility to Trump is not opposition to him. It is opposition and hostility to his supporters and the values they hold. And militant hostile opposition to flyover country values IS what Antifa is all about:
Somebody/somebodies are the puppetmasters who promote and advance the careers of useful idiots like Tim Walz and Jacob Frey, as well as the truly committed like Keith Ellison. May I suggest the many multinational corporations that make their home in Minnesota...that maintain large and profitable enterprises in Communist China, a market of 1.5 billion with an expanding middle class, viewing the USA as a market of only 330 million with a shrinking middle class. Economics and efficiency?
With that as the backdrop, Minnesota's long history as a place where the Nordics settled in the US is what makes it so susceptible to falling under authoritarian rule. "Minnesota Nice" is the exact type of character traits that are always useful to those ends. As we explore what "nice" leads to it's important to note what the benefits of not being nice produces. Let's shift the paradigm a tad to where being uncivil has demonstrably benefited the cause of freedom.
To wit, when I've visited Nordic nations I've noted how nice and polite the people generally are. Very civil. There's a superficial civility in public interactions. Not particularly warm, on the cooler side. It's only when you spend time with locals in their homes when they're surrounded by friends and you've been invited to be one of them that they tend to let their hair down, become warmer. And remain polite, civil.
I took note of this story out of Iceland when I read it, having been there. Iceland is a very nice, civil, obedient country. And obedience to authority is fertile ground for totalitarianism. That nice civility comes with that big vulnerability. Count how many times the word "obedience/obey" is used in this story out of Iceland about a nurse in Iceland who defied the testing mandates and was punished, fined for challenging authority:
Could terminate work contract of a nurse who denied taking rapid Covid tests
"employees' obedience to the employer's legal order is one of the primary duties of employees"
"an employee must submit to the mastery of his employer"
"work procedures must be obeyed"
"breach of a duty to obey or refusal by the employee to obey a directive"
"employee’s breach of the duty to obey"
"the employee’s refusal to obey is considered a serious failure"
"Obviously, obedience is considered to be an important part of running a business"
"obedience obligations are evidently to be regarded as critical to the operation of the policy"
"The Court finds that the breach of the duty of obedience by the nurse during the time in question constitutes a serious breach of the employment contract"
"The woman was then sentenced to pay the company Klíníkin 1.2 million ISK [$8,500 USD] in legal costs."
FF - If authorities (including employers) order the people to wear anything, a mask, a strap-on dildo (https://www.phallus.is/), whatever in public they will and must. Obey. It's the nice, civil thing to do. Society stays nice and peaceful that way. But not very free. Obedient and free do not go together. Mutually exclusive. Don't mistake nice, civil people for opponents of totalitarianism. Quite the opposite. Nice people support totalitarianism. By their unflinching obedience to authority. And desire to not offend, to remain civil. That nice, "warm collectivism" thing.
I'm also reminded of stories I've read from Germans who faced American soldiers in WWII.
"The “Black Devils,” as they were called by the enemy, carried stickers with their unit patch and the slogan – “the worst is yet to come” – written in German. They stuck these on the bodies of those they killed, as well as on German fortifications. The 1SSF’s reputation was so fierce that, prior to engaging with the group, the German soldiers were informed they would be “fighting an elite Canadian-American Force. They are treacherous, unmerciful and clever. You cannot afford to relax.”
Opinion on American soldiers’ character during the battle:
"Another claim Americans were worthy fighters, quite reckless but had nerve."
Americans as their prisoners of war:
"The Americans would complain about the food, which was indeed bad all the time. They were bad prisoners since they won’t talk or work."
American officers and subordinate relationship:
"The subordinate soldiers lacked iron discipline when it comes to their officers. However, their cordial relationship compensated for this."
FF - Rudeness. Disobedience. Incivility. As an asset. A complete paradigm shift. It's how we stay free. That doesn't mean I go around now and intentionally try to be rude. And as with all things the ideal is found in balance between civil and uncivil. But if it has to be one or the other, uncivil and free or civil and enslaved I will choose uncivil exactly ten out of ten times. Nice people are rarely free people. The exact inverse results. And that is the weak underbelly of Minnesota Nice that few people are aware and informed to see. Putting others above self is hazardous to one's freedom.
I was interrupted during my reading of this post, during which time I had the thought that perhaps "Minnesota Nice" should be replaced with Minnesota Stupid!
Clearly our host and others fall outside that view, but still ....
If I have the history correct, the Vikings conquered Northern England, then were also the Rus in Russia/Kiev, and the Normans in France who were following William in 1066 (so Vikings against Vikings to some extent?)
Can Trump cause the EU to drop their authoritarian "niceness" and wake up to their reality?
I suspect the power behind the power has an agenda that will be unmoved by Trump and popular dissent, opposition. They may temporarily moderate their agenda to accommodate the political realities of a moment, but their planned trajectory remains constant.
Only something, some power that is capable of exerting an equal and opposing force - Newton's Law about an object in motion - will alter their planned trajectory. What that equal and opposing force is really must become our focus to discover, bring to fore. Probably along the lines of disobedience, impolicy. Combined with a whole lot of bravery. That whole Land of the Free, Home of the Brave thing. The former only possible with the latter. How much do we want it?
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn's quote comes to mind:
"If…if… We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation. We spent ourselves in one unrestrained outburst in 1917, and then we hurried to submit. We submitted with pleasure! … We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward." (The Gulag Archipelago, Volume 1)
I think it's worse. Minnesota nice, perhaps, but here's the progression as played out in many areas of the US:
1. Decide to doctor the census to ensure your party wins by bringing in voting groups from other countries;
2. Ensure these voting groups are indebted to you by offering support (money) and social programs (also money);
3. The voters, coming from places with different moral circumstances start to figure things out and now start to work the system for their individual/group benefit;
4. The local govt can't offend the immigrant voters, so they have to defend them against any and all charges - but since the actions are indefensible, they're left with "y'all must be racist/fascist/etc.
It took me a long time to realize this, being unwilling to accept that state/national governments were this corrupt, but it's the only conceivable answer (my namesake would agree).
Minnesota just had the perfect governor/govt/accomplices to make it so completely successful.
Basically the model. Eric Swalwell is threatening to take away ICE drivers licenses, to give to illegals I guess. Prosecute them for crimes against humanity. He is running for Cali governor, and of course Cali has about 15 extra US Reps because they harbor so many illegals, who consume 10’s of billions of free health care every year. I told my dad that, reminding him Swalwell dated a communist chinese spy.
The good news is that it's coming to a head with the fraud/voting - either we'll fix it or we won't. And then we will either get busy fixing this country or it will descend into the third world we imported.
Our Sec of State Steve Simon is responsible for all the voting "improvements" since the covid era, including one citizen vouching for eight illegals with no way to track it. This is why I would secede and make a new state, because I am certain liberals here will put him and that Muslim duo back in office.
Voting...if we the people continued to believe it the answer to our woes and wanted it done fairly, I do not believe we would be in this predicament. One day, paper & pen, ID & W-2/1040, utility bill, counted manually by local clergy/sheriff/citizens at county level, then recounted/verified at state level and tabulated within 24 hours. The fix to the fUSA is at the foundation, but those benefiting from the chaos cannot and will not allow that. IMO.
Look at the timing of when Walz dropped out of the Governor's race. Did he really drop out to spend more time managing the fraud investigation? Or was it so him and Frey could redo their partner act from the summer of Floyd?
If you're familiar with the eschatology it makes sense. Edom is supposed to fall. USA is the new Edom. DJT is supposed to rule as a king over the fall of Edom (3rd term). Therefore a situation needs to be created to justify martial law. Unfortunately, the weather is not cooperating this week.
In complete agreement with you on the mystical view. There is something truly extraordinary about the wetlands here. The Norse had the same view. They made sacrifices to spirit creatures in marshes and bogs. Obviously the Natives know this too.
I also grew up in the great red sea that is rural Minnesota (my mom lives twenty miles from the homestead, we settled this fucking place), and now live deep behind enemy lines within sight of the capitol. And brother, I. Am. Here. To. Stay. I will live to see the day we take it back. I wake up every day and see the capitol dome and I say "Soon."
Is there any precedent in history where this amount of rot was corrected by internal action? or external action without massive brutality? The Romans might have something to say.
Minnesota is a historically purple state. The recent-ish (15 years or so) Democrat dominance has coincided with the massive Somali influx, related industrial scale fraud, and some fishy electoral shenanigans. Now that's all being blown open. It is highly possible that we flip the state this year if we can keep the pressure on.
Of course, then the real work begins, and whether state Republicans have the stomach for the fight remains to be seen.
There is a lot of time between now and the midterms. I am hoping Trump et al make this fraud in every blue state a referendum. If the Senate passes the SAVE act I might even be optimistic.
I know how you feel. Unfortunatley you can't 'fix' even close family when they've been possessed by the ergregore. Leftism is a consuming monster, and will as happily puppet your friends and relatives as it will your enemies. It's powerful, and wholly evil.
The surplus thing sounds like where I live currently- WA state. We had some huge surplus less than a decade ago and suddenly we are so broke that they are currently tapping 'alternative income streams'- I had to take my car in for repair a month or so ago and on top of the insane $2200 bill was another $300 imposed for 'service taxes' that were just layered on top of sales taxes. We have some of the same stoic Scandinavian demographic here with many of the same issues. They are fine with feeding their children to Moloch to assuage their guilt while their money disappears into the ether and gang graffiti proliferates on the overpasses even in my small burg. I am so rooting for 'west Idaho' at this point.
I am glad I left Seattle a decade ago and live out in the woods. I don't think I will be staying here much longer though. Back in the early 80's I had a bunch of friends from Minneapolis. It sounded like a fun town at the time, I always wanted to check it out. Hell, I still cherish shows like the original MST3K for reminding me of my midwestern childhood spent watching cheesy movies late at night on many of the same stations when the parents were asleep. I'm sorry this is happening to your home, it should not be this way.
I thought of you tonight when I saw that a church was raided during services by protesters (including Don Lemon). I am so pissed. As you know, I am not a christian, but I also understand the uneasy balance that pagans and other minority religions have managed to strike with most christians in the last couple of decades- sort of a 'be neighborly and keep your hands to yourself, especially the kids". However, I know several old lefties who rail about 'bible thumpers' like Jerry Falwell is still alive who would like to live like it is the Reagan admin again. they don't want to have peace or even stalemate. I am afraid that actions like this will wake up that sleeping giant and the law of unintended consequences will ensue- just like I suspect the current gender wars are going to end with women and gays pretty much back to square one.
In other words, I'm afraid they're going to miss and hit me, LOL.
Good luck with East Dakota. Maybe we all need to cut off the cites from our income and resources and see how long they last by themselves without an unwilling tax base.
Also, yeah, that church raid was insufferable, far worse than any self-righteousness of any Christians I have known.
I loved living in Minneapolis. It is a beautiful city of lakes. But the government was always a problem, when I first realized how many somalis were around, I knew it would some day be a serious problem, and after 2020 I did not feel very welcome.
you have a unique perspective that is refreshing in a world where most political discussion is a rehash of talking points making noise like player pianos. i legit loled on some of your lines. why is Minnesota nice at the epicenter of fear and loathing in America indeed? Seems improbable on the surface. Obvious upon reflection.
ok - to the mystical points. you draw lines along ecology to point out the tensions of the state. it came as a surprise to me and may be of interest to you that Minnesota was a hot bed of war for well over a century between the Ojibwa and Sioux primarily. some of the war history synthesized here https://crackpot.substack.com/t/ojibwa
it's hard to see what the protest riots are aiming at here in Minnesota for me. immigration law itself? its enforcement? how it is enforced? every law is backed by violence. i noted some insane estimate like 30K killed in Iran's protests came out the other day - an interesting juxtaposition for the nazi rhetoricians may be. some part of me wonders if its simplicity; Americans know one story, the bowdlerized nostalgia soaked Hollywood story of WWII and Nazis. They know one narrative; saviors, villains and victims. When one only knows one language, they think everything must fit that pattern of abstraction. When one only knows one story, everything seems to fit that story's morality.
To Minnesota liberals, Muslims are an oppressed class. It does not matter to them how many liberal Muslims are killed in Iran or anywhere else by their fellow Muslims. So they tend to think the fraud in Minnesota was really only the food for kids thing, and the other 10’s of billions stolen is just a MAGA lie.
Every political Mn dem has said ICE should not just get out of Mpls, but the whole state. Because they see the lack of immigration enforcement will allow them to flood the state with illegal immigrants who will cement their one-party state status. After which, illegals being an oppressed class, like in the UK, they will be allowed to prey upon Minnesotans with impunity, and the welfare graft will expand.
So yes, enforcing the their version of The Law will require extreme violence.
Thank you Gregory, glad to hear from you. Some of Tim’s family came out against his VP run, or rather for Trump. But most of it I suspect is genuine communists tend to reject family.
Let’s not pretend that it was either happenstance or a mistake that Kamala Harris and the democrat party machine chose Tim Walz to be her running mate. There were reasons that had nothing to do with his midwestern, white, ah shucks personality. And it smells of Barack Obama.
Demorats loved his treatment of covid policy authoritarianism. Also, they admired his ability to plunder welfare for the party. And his ability to entirely game elections. While acting so very innocent, while silencing dissent.
Ok. At least you picked up on the reality of MN being filled with a lot of self loathing white guilt Scandinavians. Maybe the fact that most of them descended from the Vikings has something to do with that.

Best of luck there in MN.
Do any normal people have the stomach to take the gloves off and do what needs to be done to these communists and their useful idiot street thugs?
There are plenty, but it is also true, prosecutors in Minnesota, like in the UK, will give a proverbial slap on the wrist to minority thieves, rapists and killers, but should any white boys step in and take matters into their own hands, the State will send them to jail the rest of their days.

My personal hope is that things are so bad, and so fraudulent that it is undeniable and a red wave results.

Most of the people I talk to around here are on a similar page we are. But we are outnumbered by the Twin Cities and liberal sattelite towns.

Agreed. One Somali can currently vouch for 8 illegals to vote, with no real way to track it.

In complete agreement with you on the mystical view. There is something truly extraordinary about the wetlands here. The Norse had the same view. They made sacrifices to spirit creatures in marshes and bogs. Obviously the Natives know this too.
Edom. Ineresting. I will have to look into that.
I have ever argued against the idea of a king in America. But I sometimes wonder if it is inevitable.
It is if this madness isn’t stopped by the system extant.
Great article, subscribed.
The cancer us deeply rooted. I wish you well.
You as well
It is starting to look like nothing is being corrected, the graft continues and expands.
It's early. I'm hopeful, if not optimistic.
I am ever hopeful, as a matter of being.
There is a lot of time between now and the midterms. I am hoping Trump et al make this fraud in every blue state a referendum. If the Senate passes the SAVE act I might even be optimistic.
God speed to that. Welcome.
I know how you feel. Unfortunatley you can't 'fix' even close family when they've been possessed by the ergregore. Leftism is a consuming monster, and will as happily puppet your friends and relatives as it will your enemies. It's powerful, and wholly evil.
My sister will come home someday.
West Idaho has a ring to it ;)
Here's hoping! :D
Excelente, WHD!
you have a unique perspective that is refreshing in a world where most political discussion is a rehash of talking points making noise like player pianos. i legit loled on some of your lines. why is Minnesota nice at the epicenter of fear and loathing in America indeed?
What if I told you the Somalia flag is the bonnie blue flag?
I’d say Tim Walz is a sociopath full of mockery.
Fascinating article - reading from the far side of the world in Western Australia.
I didn't know much about Tampon Tim except his questionable record of military service.
If he's not talking much about his relatives in Nebraska, I dare say they are reciprocating.
Right, not to mention the fact he was a safe bet to shield them and their corruption and subversion at the national level.
Demorats loved his treatment of covid policy authoritarianism. Also, they admired his ability to plunder welfare for the party. And his ability to entirely game elections. While acting so very innocent, while silencing dissent.
One word.
Technocracy
Pretty much. It is an internationalist thing, exemplified in my Minnesota government. It does not govern, it institutes chaos.
