After writing about the sacred masculine, naturally I asked myself, “am I taking myself too seriously?” Every man should ask himself that, every so often. Everyone should, I suppose. The path of taking oneself too serious is for humorless people, leading nowhere good. There are no shortage these days of models in that regard.
Anyway, here is a video for you to decide if I am taking myself too seriously. The last video I made was shorter, my general routine at the time. I kept that same routine while building on it. I don’t actually expect you to listen to or watch all of this, for obvious reasons. I mostly mean it as a check on humility, a record of progress anyone else starting the guitar can measure themselves against, that learning new things is a lifelong exercise if you want it to be, and something like a lesson on the power of imagination, intention and will.
I’m kind of proud of myself too. I didn’t know a single chord two months ago. I think it sounds GREAT!
A little concert for my 228 subscribers. Thanks for your support.
Great progress in such a short amount of time. I bought my first guitar Oct 22. A little Gretsch parlor, also without knowing a single chord. It's amazing what just 15-30 minutes consistently can bring. The other day I played along to Green Day's Good Riddance and The Verve's 'Drugs Don't Work'. Now I'm completely hooked, can't feel my fingertips and fear I might never write again. Tickets to my world tour go on sale soon.
I'm happy to see you playing guitar! Are you taking lessons or going DIY?
